Today is the last day we will have Hailey and Austin during the week. They are both good sleepers and eaters. They went to the fishing rodeo tonight with their dad. They will be worn out by the time they get back but this will be their last night here and their dad wanted to take them somewhere. Hopefully they will be good. We had a big supper of pork tenderloin, baked potato and steamed vegetables. I met with my friend Robin Jackson today to pick out some designs for her new grandbaby. She wants some burp cloths and bibs and onesies. Tomorrow we are going to the movies to see Mama Mia.

July 4th weekend

We left Mobile on Thursday around 11:00 a.m. to travel to North Alabama (Town Creek) to visit our daughter Jill and son in law Sedrick and grandson Jeremiah. We got to there house about 5:30 and waited for our other daughter Ginger and her twins Averie and Andrew to come from Chattanooga. We went out to eat and was joined by one of Ginger and Jill's college friends, Johna Stafford and her husband Jeremy. The dinner was nice. On the fourth Jill put on quite a spread, pulled pork, baked beans, bread, slaw, chips, pickles, desserts and homemade ice cream. We were joined by their pastor, his wife Debra, Sedrick's mother and stepfather Jim. Also Leslie and her two daughters came by with a friend of hers and her husband and their baby. The weather was kinda cool and rainy, but we had a nice day all in all. We left there today and Ginger left at the same time returning to Chattanooga.

Today is the first day of July. We have two sets of twin grandchildren. Austin and Hailey Youngblood who are 17 months old and very active. Then there is Andrew and Averie Lynch who are 6 weeks old. I also have a grandson that is 4 years old named Jeremiah Johnson. I created this blog because my daughter Ginger sent me her blog and I decided I would have one too. Not much going on today. We will be going to our daughter Jill's house for the fourth and hopefully Ginger and her twins will join us there. Greg will be in Atlanta with a college friend to attend the Dave Matthew's concert and go to a Braves game. Jeff will be in Mobile with his twins, Hailey and Austin.
